Itinerary
First Day
7:30AM 15 seat van departure to Hidroelectrica after 5 hour bus ride. Lunch served.
After lunch 3 hour walking through flat route along the river surrounding Machupicchu mountain (optional 40 minute train ride).
When you reach Aguas Calientes you will be transferred to your hostel.
Dinner in a restaurant and one night accommodation.
Second Day
4:30 am after breakfast you start walking up to Machupicchu.
6AM you reach Machupicchu to see the sunrise. They open Machupicchu at 6AM.
Two hour guided visit in the site. After that you are free to explore Machupicchu and take more pictures.
By 11:30AM start walking down to the bridge and turn left to Walk down back to Hidroelectrica (1hour walking down).
2:30PM bus departure from Hidroelectrica to Cusco.
8:30PM bus arrives in Cusco.

Options for you:
These options have an additionnal charge.
- You can take the train back to Ollantaytambo and then a car will pick you up to get back to Cusco around 10:30 pm.
- If this trip goes fast for you, there is the possibility to stay over the second night in the hotel in Aguas Calientes.
- If you stay longer in the sanctuary, you can also hike the Waynapicchu (Machupicchu's mountain).
